IF ONLY!

On this, CYBER MONDAY, the newest and most exciting of online shopping holidays, consider picking up my newest book Leo Geo and the Cosmic Crisis!  It's the perfect gift for any child (or adult for that matter) who loves science and is interested in book interaction being part of the narrative!  Of course, I'm WAY biased, but I thought I would spread the good word!  I'm not coming here empty-handed, though!  Look!

If only I could make this a real side-scrolling shooter!!  All joking aside, games like R-Type, Gradius, and Star Fox were very inspirational to me when I was putting down the groundwork for this book!  Games like that were doing the things I was interested in (creating continuous visual canvases) WAY before I even dreamed about it!

CCS Holiday Sale and Leo Geo Signing This Friday!!

OH BOY OH BOY!  I know that I already listed a lot of the fun stuff that I'm doing on my last blog post, but I forgot to mention that I will be signing books at the CCS Holiday Book Sale!  Here is the news release from the CCS website:

The Center for Cartoon Studies (CCS) is hosting a special First Friday holiday book sale and signing at the Post Office Building.  Join CCS faculty and students in celebrating the season with some local hot cider, cookies and a slew of affordable graphic novels for all ages.

Faculty members, including Stephen R. Bissette (TyrantSwamp Thing), Jon Chad (Leo Geo), Nicole Georges (Calling Dr. Laura), Jason Lutes (Berlin), Sarah Stewart Taylor (The Expeditioners) and James Sturm (Market DayAdventures in Cartooning) will be signing books.
This event is free and open to the public.
46 South Main Street
Friday, December 6, 5-8pm.

Also, it really warmed my heart to get a shout-out from A-1 cartoonist and all around amazing friend Alec Longstreth.  He had some great things to say about Leo Geo 2 and The Cute Girl Network (written by MK Reed and Greg Means, and drawn by Joe Flood).
